Trial Advocacy Competition 2008

So we got 2nd place in Seattle! It was a really neat experience. The team we lost against was really good and polished but they were jerks and unfriendly so that made losing to them a little worse. I got some really nice feedback from the judges and attorneys who watched us. The overall theme for my feedback was that I had excellent composure and was very likable. One judge said I was the best speaker in that round. All of the judges and attorney said they were impressed by all the teams and that they see a wide range of attorney ability in their courtrooms and that we were all at a level where we could be in court room already.....I thought that was pretty cool! Anyway, I'm glad the competition is over though because practicing for it took up a lot of my time and now I can concentrate more on school. The group pic is our 2 teams and the pic below is me and our team captain Diana...we nicknamed her "The Dictator" because she made us practice all the time and some nights we practiced for 5 hours! But it paid off I guess. I just wish we could have beat the jerk team but oh well.....maybe next year.

On a seperate note - I put in my 2 weeks notice this week.....I'm gonna stop working so I can concentrate on school. This semester has been very tough with work and school and trial team. Not working also allows me to go home for the entire Christmas break! Which may or may not make you guys happy! hahahaha

Well I will get to see you guys in about a week! I'm very excited to go home! Love you all and miss you.

:)
